The right people. Where care happens.
FindALocum connects healthcare organisations with locums for work that fits the role and setting. Its general practice focus includes GPs, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and practice nurses, with on-site, remote and hybrid arrangements where appropriate.

GP practices, primary care networks and healthcare organisations seeking cover, and clinicians looking for locum work.
Start with the work that needs doing
A useful request begins with the duties, dates, hours, location and experience required. For remote or hybrid roles, access arrangements and attendance expectations matter too. FindALocum gives organisations a route to describe that work, discuss suitable availability and review applicants before agreeing an engagement. The proposed role remains the starting point for a suitable match.
Clear agreements between practice and locum
The hiring organisation contracts with the locum and pays their agreed remuneration directly. FindALocum charges the organisation a separate booking fee. Duties, pay, expenses, cancellation terms and the required checks are agreed before the booking is confirmed. An initial enquiry starts that conversation; it does not reserve a clinician or guarantee that cover is available.
A practical route for clinicians
Locums can register their experience, availability and preferred working arrangements, then consider opportunities relevant to them. Registration and work-finding are free for clinicians. Before accepting an assignment, they can review the duties, hours, pay and support expected. Registration does not guarantee work, and each engagement needs the appropriate evidence, checks and written agreement.
A little more
about FindALocum.
Does FindALocum employ and pay the locum?
Under the published introduction model, the hiring organisation engages and pays the locum directly. FindALocum’s booking fee is separate. The written agreements identify the contracting parties and their responsibilities for the particular engagement.
Can a role be remote or hybrid?
Where the duties, professional scope, systems access and local support make it suitable. Tasks requiring physical examination or hands-on care need on-site arrangements. The working pattern should be clear before an assignment is agreed.
